4 Fun & Easy DIY Hand Drawings For Kids

It's time to let your creativity flow! Not everyone may be cut out to be a master artist, but that doesn't mean you can't still have fun with the subject, and so much the better when you can do it in a fun and creative way. These 4 DIY drawing activities are especially a hit with the kids and are a great way to pass the time!

1. Hand Animals

Position your fingers based on the animal you want to draw, and then trace the area around your hand on a piece of paper. Color in the figures and add the finishing touches to make your animals come to life.

a) Pelican

b) Giraffe

c) Dog

d) Mouse

2. Number Animals

It's not just the outline of your hand, but also ordinary numbers that can come to life with a few artistic strokes and colors.

So a 5 becomes a seahorse, 22 a shark in water, 19 a koala bear hanging from a tree, and the number 61 becomes a dog from behind.

3. Circle Animals

You can also draw animal faces with the help of circles. We used circles to make a turtle, rabbit, tiger, and elephant, and you can too!

4. 3D Hand

Start by tracing your hand on a sheet of paper and draw lines across the paper with a ruler at regular intervals and parallel to each other. Slightly curve the lines to give a raised effect, and then lightly thicken the tracing on the right side of each finger for a shadow effect.

Your kids can leave all their fancy gadgets and electronic devices behind, because believe it or not, there's still plenty of fun to be had with just a piece of paper and a pencil! If you're looking for more great kid-friendly activities, be sure to check out 5 Fun Craft Ideas For Kids.
